Place the
flour, oatmeal and salt in a mixing bowl, sift in the baking powder
and mix well. Rub in the butter or margarine until the mixture
resembles breadcrumbs.
Whisk together the malt extract and milk
until blended, then add to the dry ingredients with the sesame
seeds. Mix to a firm dough.
Turn the dough on to a floured surface
and roll out thinly. Cut into 6 cm/2 1/2 inch rounds with a
plain cutter.
Place on a baking sheet and bake in a preheated oven,
190°C (375°F), Gas Mark 5, for 12-15 minutes, until golden. Transfer
to a wire rack to cool.
