Ingredients

3 oz margarine
-
5 oz caster sugar
-
4 medium size
eggs
-
1 tsp baking
powder
-
4 1/2 oz
flour
-
1/2 tin
condensed milk
-
6 oz water
Serves 6-8
Method:
-
Fry the sugar
(preferably in a non-stick pan) over very slow
fire till it slightly brown.

Add 6 oz
water and let sugar dissolve into syrup. Let it
cool.

Sieve flour
together with 1 tsp baking powder twice, and set
it aside. Whip margarine and milk till creamy.

Add eggs, one
at a time, till well mixed, pour and sprinkle
flour into whipped margarine and milk. Stir well
in one direction with a wooden spoon.

Add cool
syrup. Stir again and put into a deep baking
tray.

Bake for 35
to 40 minutes in moderate heat till it turn
springy to the touch.

Texture of
cake should be like honey comb.
