Desserts Recipes - Baked Peaches with Almonds and Honey Recipe

Ingredients

Serves 4

  • 50 g/2 oz butter, plus extra for greasing

  • 4 large ripe peaches, halved and stoned

  • 50 g/2 oz flaked almonds

  • 4 tablespoons clear honey

  • a little ground cinnamon

  • crème fraiche, to serve


Method:

  1. Butter a shallow baking dish, large enough to take 8 peach halves. Place the peaches in the baking dish, skin side down.

  2. Dot with butter, sprinkle with the almonds, drizzle with the honey and dust with cinnamon.

  3. Bake the peaches at the top of a preheated oven, 200°C (400°F), Gas Mark 6, for 10-15 minutes. You want to get a little color into the peaches and get the almonds lightly browned.

  4. Serve the peaches with the juices drizzled over and topped with a spoonful of crème fraiche.
