Crisp Recipe

50 g/2 oz butter

125 g/4 oz fresh
white breadcrumbs

50 g/2 oz light
soft brown sugar
-
50 g/2 oz flaked
almonds
-
1/2 teaspoon ground
cinnamon
-
500 g/1 lb plums,
stoned and lightly poached in

150 ml/1/4 pint
water and 2
tablespoons sugar

whipped cream, to serve
Method:

Melt the butter in a saucepan. Stir in the breadcrumbs,
sugar, almonds and cinnamon.

Put the plums in a pie
dish, then sprinkle the breadcrumb mixture over the top.

Bake in a preheated oven, 180°C (350°F), Gas Mark 4, for
30-35 minutes. Serve cold with cream.
