Drinks and Finger Food Recipes - Palmiers Curls Recipe

Ingredients

Makes 24

  • 500 g/1 lb puff pastry

  • 2 tablespoons coarse grain mustard

  • 50 g/2 oz Parmesan, grated

  • 1 tablespoon poppy seeds

  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds


Method:

  1. Roll out the pastry on a lightly floured work surface and trim to make a rectangle 30 x 35 cm/12 x 14 inches.

  2. Spread with the mustard and sprinkle with the cheese. Fold in half and roll lightly.

  3. Cut the pastry into about 20 long, thin strips. Sprinkle half with poppy seeds and the other half with sesame seeds.

  4. Twist the strips into loose spirals and arrange them on baking sheets.

  5. Bake in a preheated oven, 230°C (450°F), Gas Mark 8, for 15 minutes or until puffy and golden.
