Drinks and Finger Food Recipes - Spiced Mulled Wine Recipe

Ingredients

Serves 10

  • 1 bottle red wine

  • 1/4 bottle port

  • 600 ml/1 pint boiling water

  • brown or white sugar, to taste

  • pinch of ground nutmeg

  • 1 cinnamon stick

  • pared orange rind


Method:

  1. Heat the red wine and port in a saucepan until almost boiling. Add the boiling water.

  2. Stir in the sugar and nutmeg, pour into a large bowl and add a cinnamon stick and some pared orange rind. Serve warm.
