Drinks and Finger Food Recipes - Spicy Glazed Cashews Recipe

Ingredients

Serves 8

  • 25 g/1 oz unsalted butter

  • 3 tablespoons clear honey

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper

  • 1 tablespoon water

  • 250 g/8 oz cashew nuts


Method:

  1. Melt the butter in a small, heavy-based frying pan and then stir in the honey, salt, cayenne and water. Bring to the boil. 

  2. Add the cashew nuts and stir over a medium heat for 5 minutes until the nuts are toasted and well coated with the glaze.

  3. Tip out on to a greased baking sheet and leave to cool. These nuts are best eaten the same day.
