Low Carbohydrate Desserts Recipes - Fresh Fruit Salad Recipe

Ingredients

Serve 6

  • 2 peaches

  • 2 oranges

  • 2 eating apples

  • 16-20 strawberries

  • 30ml/2 tbsp lemon juice

  • 15-30ml/1- 2 tbsp orange flower water

  • a few fresh mint leaves, to decorate


Method:

  1. Place the peaches in a bowl and pour over boiling water. Leave to stand for 1 minute, then lift out with a slotted spoon, peel, stone and cut the flesh into thick slices.

  2. Peel the oranges with a sharp knife, removing all the white pith, and segment them, catching any juice in a bowl.

  3. Peel and core the apples and cut into thin slices. Using the point of a knife, hull the strawberries and halve or quarter the fruits if they are large.

  4. Place all the prepared fruit in a large serving bowl. Blend together the lemon juice, orange flower water and any reserved orange juice.

  5. Pour the fruit juice mixture over the salad and toss lightly. Serve decorated with a few fresh mint leaves.
