Pineapple Chicken in Patty Shells
Ingredients

1 package Pepperidge Farm Patty Shells
-
1/2 cup chopped onion
-
2 Tbs. butter or
margarine
-
1 cup orange
juice
-
1/4 cup brown sugar
-
1 8-oz. can undrained crushed pineapple
-
1/4 tsp. ground
cinnamon
-
1 1/2 Tbs.
cornstarch
-
2 cups cubed
cooked chicken
-
1 package frozen
pea pods
-
1/4 cup toasted
slivered almonds
Makes 6 servings
Method:
-
Prepare patty shells according to package
directions. Meanwhile, in a saucepan, cook onion in
butter until tender.
-
Add orange juice, brown sugar,
pineapple, cinnamon and cornstarch. Cook, stirring,
over medium heat until thickened and smooth.

Add
chicken and pea pods and heat. Spoon into patty
shells. Garnish with almonds.
