Main Dish Recipes - Pork Chops and Vegetables

Ingredients  

  • 2 Tbs. oil

  • 6 pork loin chops, 12-inch thick

  • 1 green pepper, cut into strips

  • 2 Tbs. flour

  • 1 10 1/2-oz. can condensed onion soup

  • 2 Tbs. Lea & Perrins Worcestershire Sauce

  • 1 tsp. garlic powder

  • 1 tsp. salt

  • 2 medium tomatoes, cut in wedges.

Serves 6


Method:

  1. In large skillet heat oil. Add chops, 3 at a time; brown well on both sides; remove and set aside.

  2. Add green pepper; sauté for 3 minutes; remove and set aside. Stir in flour; cook and stir for 1 minute. Blend in next 4 ingredients. Bring to boiling point.

  3. Return chops to skillet; spoon sauce over chops. Cover and simmer until chops are tender, about 1 hour.

  4. Stir in tomatoes and sautéed green pepper. Cover and simmer 5 minutes longer.
