Main Dish Recipes - Quick Chinese Pepper Steak

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. round steak, cut 1/2 inch thick

  • 2 Tbs. salad oil

  • 1  medium onion, sliced

  • 1 medium green pepper, sliced

  • 1 envelope Ehlers Au Jus Gravy Mix

  • 3/4 cup water

  • 4 tsps. soy sauce

  • 1/2 tsp. ground ginger

  • 3 cups hot cooked rice

Makes 4 servings


Method:

  1. Cut meat in half lengthwise with a sharp knife, then cross­wise into thin slices.

  2. Cook meat, onion and pepper in skillet in hot oil until meat is browned.

  3. Stir in remaining ingredients except rice. Cook 5 minutes, stirring constantly. Serve over rice.
