Main Dish Recipes - Veal Goulash

Ingredients 

  • 2 lbs. veal cubes

  • 1 Tbs. paprika

  • 1/4 cup Planters Peanut Oil

  • 1 1/4 cups chopped onions

  • 2 medium tomatoes, peeled and wedged

  • 1 8-oz. can tomato sauce

  • 2 tsps. salt

  • Hot cooked noodles

Makes about 6 servings


Method:

  1. Dredge veal with paprika, set aside. Heat Planters Peanut Oil in Dutch oven.

  2. Add chopped onions and sauté until lightly browned; remove onions using slotted spoon and set aside.

  3. Brown dredged veal on all sides. Return onions to Dutch oven. Stir in tomatoes, tomato sauce and salt.

  4. Simmer gently, uncovered, about 1 hour, or until veal is tender. Serve over noodles.
