Ingredients

1 9-inch pastry
shell, unbaked
-
2 Tbs. Margarine
-
1 cup chopped onion
-
1/2 cup chopped red bell pepper
-
4 cups coarsely
chopped fresh spinach
-
3/4 cup chopped
Planters Pecan Pieces or Planters Pecan Chips
-
1 1/4 cups grated
Swiss cheese
-
1 1/4 cups
half-and-half
-
3
eggs
-
3/4 tsp.
salt
-
1/8 tsp. ground
black pepper
Makes 1 pie
Method:
-
Pre-bake pastry shell at 425°F for 10 minutes.

Melt Margarine in a large skillet over medium heat.
Add onion and red pepper; sauté until nearly tender.
Stir in spinach and sauté until wilted.

Sprinkle
Planters Pecan Pieces or Planters Pecan Chips and
cheese in bottom of pastry shell; spread spinach mixture
over cheese layer.

Beat together half-and-half, eggs,
salt and pepper; pour into pie shell.

Bake at 350°F for
35 minutes, or until puffy and a knife inserted in
center comes out clean. Do not over bake. Slice and serve
hot.
