Pasta, Noodles and Rice Recipes - Saffron Bows Recipe

Ingredients

Serve 4

  • 300 g/10 oz farfalle

  • 25 g/1 oz butter

  • 150 ml/1/2 pint double cream

  • 1/2 teaspoon saffron threads

  • salt and pepper

  • 75 g/3 oz Parmesan cheese, freshly grated, to serve


Method:

  1. Cook the pasta until al dente. Heat the butter and cream in a small saucepan, add the saffron and gently bring to the simmer.

  2. Drain the pasta well, place in a warmed serving bowl and pour over the saffron sauce.

  3. Season with salt and pepper, and mix well. Serve the Parmesan at the table and sprinkle just a little over each portion.
