Salads Recipes - Pear and Stilton Salad Recipe

Ingredients

Serve 4

  • 4 pears, cut into eighths and cored

  • 4 tablespoons lemon juice

  • 250 g/8 oz baby spinach or lettuce

  • 4 walnuts, chopped

  • 250 g/8 oz blue Stilton cheese, crumbled

  • 4 tablespoons walnut oil


Method:

  1. Heat a griddle pan or nonstick frying pan and cook the slices of pear on each side for 1 minute. Remove and sprinkle them with the lemon juice.

  2. Pile the spinach on a large platter and arrange the pears on top.

  3. Sprinkle with walnuts and crumbled Stilton and spoon over the walnut oil. Serve immediately.
