Sauces, Salads Recipes - Sauce for Vegetables

Ingredients

  • 1 cup sour cream

  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise

  • 2 Tbs. lemon juice

  • 1/2 tsp. salt

  • 1/4 tsp. Tabasco Pepper Sauce

Sauce for 4-6 servings


Method:

  1. Combine all ingredients in a saucepan and heat gently; do not allow to boil.

  2. Spoon over vegetable when serving, or place vegetable in a casserole, top with sauce.

  3. Sprinkle with bread crumbs, and place under broiler until crumbs are brown, 1-2 minutes.

  4. Ideal with cooked fresh asparagus, or broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower, green beans, etc'.
