Monterey Bay Chutney
Ingredients

1 cup seedless Raisins
-
1 cup Golden Seedless Raisins

1 cup Currants
-
1 cup finely chopped onion
-
1 quart diced pared
tart apples

1 tsp. salt
-
1 1/2 tsps. powdered
ginger
-
1/2 tsp. allspice
-
1/8 tsp. cloves
-
1 cup vinegar
-
1 cup dry white wine
or water
-
1/2 cup sugar
-
1/4 cup diced green
pepper
-
1/4 cup diced pimiento
Makes about
1 1/2 quarts
Method:

Combine all ingredients, except green pepper and pimiento.

Simmer
20 to 25 minutes, uncovered, until thickened.

Add green pepper and
pimiento. Cook 5 minutes longer. Cool.
