Side Dishes, Vegetables Recipes - Sautéed Wheatena

Ingredients           

  • 1 cup Wheatena                       

  • 1 egg, beaten                             

  • 1 tsp. salt  

  • 1/4 cup butter or margarine

  • 1 medium onion, diced

  • 2 cups water

Makes about 5 to 6 servings


Method:

  1. Combine Wheatena, egg and salt. In skillet, melt butter; sauté onion until golden.

  2. Add Wheatena mixture and water; mix well. Bring to boil; cover and cook over low heat until light in color, stirring occasionally.

  3. Cook about 10 to 12 minutes, until desired thickness.
